Donald Auten

Donald Gilbert Auten, 80 years of age, of NC, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his residence in Concord. Mr. Auten was born September 21, 1932 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Horace Cletus Auten and the late Virginia Cress Auten Nance . He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Jerry Auten . A family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. officiated by David Mullis. Entombment will follow. Survivors include wife, Edith Reid Auten of Concord; special nephew, David Mullis and special great niece, Bethany, of Concord; sisters, Shelby Cox of Kannapolis, Shirley Lyerly and Joyce Howell, both of Concord; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
