Donald Ballard, Jr

Donald Edward Ballard, Jr., 59 of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Mickey Howard, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times the family will meet at the home. Mr. Ballard was born on January 25, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Donald Edward Ballard, Sr. and Inez Nix Ballard. He was employed as a truck driver for Wallace Farms in Huntersville for over 30 years. Mr. Ballard is survived by his loving wife, Frances Earnhardt Ballard who he married on August 9, 2003. Also surviving are his four children, Michael Ballard and wife Tamra of Mooresville, Cindy Eudy and husband Jr. of Concord, Lee Scott and wife Angela of Marion and Jerry Scott of the home; Also nine grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Shelden and husband Lonnie of Concord, Trudy Ballard of Mocksville, Debbie Mullis and husband Ray of Concord, and Kathy McClamrock of Concord; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Ballard family.
