Donald Drake

Donald Mack Drake 74 of 4266 Barley Street SW Concord, NC passed away at his home on Monday, August 31, 2009. Born in Mecklenburg County on July 7, 1935 to the late Lee Austin Drake and the late Beulah Mae (Graham) Drake. He was also preceded in death by three sons, Stonie Criswell, Bobby Drake, and Dan Drake. Mr. Drake was owner & operator of Drake Plumbing, and was a veteran of the US Army. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 02, 2009 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 03, 2009 at 2 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Concord,Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Steve Livengood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte, NC. Survivors include wife, Margie (Criswell) Drake of the home; sons, Jimmy Drake of Texas; Don Drake; Eric Drake; Tracy Drake; and Alec Drake all of Concord; daughters, Debbie Drake of GA; Lisa Drake of AL; Jeannie Drake of WV; and Elizabeth Stinnard of Concord; Brother, Ray Drake of Concord; sister, Becky Bishop of Charlotte; twenty one grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to assist with future educational expenses for Alec and Eric Drake. Accounts have been established at Cabarrus Bank & Trust on behalf of each child.
