Donald Hinson

Donald  Hinson, 71, of Locust, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Mr. Hinson was born May 16, 1948 in Stanly County to the late Cletus Gardner Hinson and the late Ethel Ida Dehart Hinson.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ronald and Jack Hinson.

Donald loved nothing more than going camping at the beach and spending time with loved ones.  He was at peace with himself and his family as he had changed his life for the better.  Donald worked side by side with his brother, Deby Hinson, for the last 45 years working construction.  He also enjoyed all things Nascar!!!  He will be truly missed as much as he was loved in life.

Survivors include brother, Cletus Hinson, son, Shane Hinson and his wife Sientje; daughter, Julie Marie Broome and her husband Patrick; granddaughter, Stormy; and son, Austin Liles.  He also has numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

A visitation with the family will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107.  A memorial service officiated by Rev. Leslie Wray will follow the visitation at 7:00pm.

The family will host a gathering of friends and relatives following the Memorial service at the home of Deby Hinson, 13040 Austin road, Locust, NC 28097.
