Donald Lisk

Donald King Lisk, 92, of Midland, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home in Midland.

Donald was born March 31, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Blane Lisk and the late Annie Blackwelder Lisk. He was also preceded in death by sister, Eva Blackwelder.

Before Donald entered the ministry, he was a Sergeant in the US Army serving in the Korean War. Preacher Don pastored Hillcrest Baptist Church in Monroe, NC for 32 years and Clear Creek Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC for 10 Years.

The family will receive friends Wednesday April 6th, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Homes of Midland. The funeral service will be on Thursday April 7th at 11:00 AM  at Clear Creek Baptist Church, in the family life center which is located behind the church, officiated by Rev. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Bobby Leonard. Burial will follow at the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 9015 Ferguson Rd., Charlotte.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lillian Haigler Lisk of Midland, NC; son, Darrell Lisk (Pam) of Midland, NC; granddaughters, Heather Lisk (Scott Andrews) of Concord, NC, Hannah Bumby (Matthew) of Indian Land, SC; great-grandson, Ezra Bumby; sisters, Betty Furr of Monroe, NC; Fay Blackwelder of Concord, NC.

Memorials may be made to Clear Creek Baptist Church at 9015 Ferguson Rd., Charlotte, NC.
