Donald Mattade

Mr. Donald Joseph Mattade, 78, of 7142 Bullrun, Concord passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at his home. He was born on March 27, 1932 in Paterson, NJ to the late Raymond and Anita Mitchell Mattade. Donald was a retired lineman with the phone company. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Mattade will be held at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Gold Hill on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Constance Garrett officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Ronald Pollack and all the staff at Cabarrus Family Medicine for the care that Donald received from them. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ruth Brown Mattade, who passed away on March 14, 2004; son, Donald Joseph Mattade, Jr.; and brothers, Raymond and George Mattade. He is survived by daughters, Linda Zebrowski, of Concord, Elizabeth Langenstein and husband, Charlie, of Concord, and Anita Scanlon and husband, Thomas, of Concord; six grandchildren, Cheryl Mattade, Donald Joseph Mattade, III, Robert Wallerius, Jenna Wallerius, Kyle and Kellie Schmidlin, Kendall Langenstein, Kasey Langenstein, Austin Langenstein, Riley Langenstein, James Allen, and Tucker Scanlon; and two great grandchildren.
