Donald Mullis

Donald Richard Mullis, 79, of 4206 Flowes Store Road Concord passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late George Washington and Callie Mae Herrin Mullis. He is also preceded in death by brother Harold Mullis, and sister Maxine Plummer. Mr. Mullis worked for Cannon Mills and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, September 30th from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church 5340 Flowes Store Road Concord on Saturday, October 1st at 4 PM following a 30 Min. state, with Pastor Jimmy Hall and Rev. Farrell Shimpock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Doris Barbee Mullis of the home; daughters, Rhonda Long of Stanfield, Beverly Mantooth, and Donna M. Campbell both of Concord; grandchildren, Beverly Plummer, Brandi Mantooth, Brandon Mantooth, Robin Morgan, Barbi Ortz, Kevin Broome, and Jonnet Campbell; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Mullis of Concord, and Bill Mullis of Fayetteville.
