Donald Overcash

Mr. Donald Smith "Don" Overcash, 81, of 2708 Country Home Road Concord passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on August 30, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Edgar Jennings Overcash and the late Laura Hunter Overcash . Also preceded in death by his wife Flonnie Lucille Whitley Overcash in June of 2005, brothers EJ and Hunter Overcash and sister Kate Overcash. Mr. Overcash was a retired lieutenant with the Concord Police Department, a member of Center United Methodist Church, and a 50 year member as a Mason with the Stokes Lodge. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Center United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2 PM, with the Rev. Don Newman and Rev. Brad Cunningham officiating . Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Survived by: sons, Dale M. Overcash and wife Mary Margaret of Cornelius, Michael D. Overcash of Concord; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
