Donald Plowman

Donald Franklin Plowman, 82 years of age, of New London, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Plowman was born June 23, 1934 to the late Archie and Mammie Plowman. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Don spent his life working at Bowers Equipment where he performed many duties. He only took a break from this when he was in the Army, of which he was very proud.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Bethel Bear Creek Church Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev.Paul Pickler.

Survivors include: wife of 55 years, Frances Blackwelder Plowman; sons, Frankie Plowman and wife Linda, Timothy Alan Plowman and wife Cheryl; grandsons. Brian Plowman and wife Terri, Terry Plowman; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Hailey Plowman,; sister, Ruth Coggins.
