Donald Sanders

Donald Leroy Sanders, 86, went to his Heavenly home on July 20, 2015. He passed surrounded by family at the Tucker Hospice House.

He was born to the late John Leroy and late Blanche Cagle Sanders on December 30, 1928.

He married the late Iris Jean Cox. They have 2 daughters, Deborah Sanders Roach (Keith) of Landis and Donna Sanders Light (Brian) of Kingsport, TN.

He was a textile worker and a member of Harvest Community Church.

He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Sanders Ervin and Annie Sanders Hooker. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, Kelly Kellis (Patty), Bryan Roach, and Jarad (Aprille) Kellis and 2 great-granddaughters, Karissa and Kourtney Kellis.

Visitation will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, July 23 at 10:30 am and service immediately following conducted by Rev. Jeff Burris. There will be a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Tucker Hospice House of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
