Donna Caneclides

Donna Kay Medlin Caneclides, 57, of Norwood, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Donna was born March 22, 1963 in Charlotte to the late Heath Ashley Medlin and Lula Fitzgerald Hargett Medlin.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Dean Zachary Caneclides and sister, Brenda Ford.

Donna was a 1981 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School.  She married her sweetheart since second grade, Dean, at Matthews Baptist Church.  They lovingly raised three children together in Mint Hill.  Donna had a big heart and dearly loved her children and her mother.  She loved all animals, especially dogs.  Donna loved the beach.  She also enjoyed cooking and good southern food.

Donna will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Dean, during a private graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Joshua Caneclides of Charlotte; son, Heath Caneclides of Monroe; daughter, Brenda Caneclides of Charlotte; mother, Lula Medlin of Matthews; sister, Cathy Weaver and husband, Chester, of Waxhaw; sister, Tammie Boyd and husband, Tim, of Marshville; sister, Heather Williams and husband, Shane, of Pageland, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Donna's neighbors for all their love and support.
