Donna Helms

Donna Michelle Morton Helms, 43 years of age, of Salisbury, passed away, January 6, 2016.

Donna was born September 13, 1972 in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aster Vance Morton of Oakboro.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. The burial will be at a later date.

In addition to her mother, Brenda Laramie and her husband Robert of Jacksonville, FL, she is survived by her husband, Kevin Helms of the home; sons, Christian Michael "Seth" O'Bourke of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC, Noah Helms of the home; daughter, Ashley O'Bourke of the home; brother, Dion Morton of Lawtan, OK.

Donna was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and wife. She loved spending time with her family and traveling. Donna honorably served her country in the United States Navy. She worked as a registered nurse, and was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church.
