Donna Mcrae

Donna Lisa Simpson McRae, 63 years of age, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at home in Mt. Gilead.

Donna was born August 16, 1953 in Stanly County to the late James Donald Simpson and the late Carolyn Louise Lambert Simpson.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 Noon.

Survivors include husband of 30 years, Steven Wayne McRae of Mt. Gilead; one daughter, Lisa Gulledge of Albemarle; stepson, Tyler McRae of Belmont; sisters, Kathy Simpson of New London, Anita Randall of Albemarle; sister in law, Sissy Deaton of Mt Gilead; and one grandson, Noah Gulledge.

She was employed at Twin Harbor Resort as office manager. Her hobby was feeding the hummingbirds.
