Dora Gragg

Dora Ellen Thompson Gragg, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at home, on October 1, 2012. There will be a private service at a later date. Born May 9, 1931 in Avery County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Thompson and the late Ethel Ward Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lee Gragg in 1974. She is survived by her daughters, Dorene Vanhoy of Denton, Deborah Hudson and husband Harvey of Monroe; son, Stephen Gragg and wife Donna of Charlotte; grandsons, Cliff Gragg, Kelly Hudson and wife Tina; great grandchildren, Evan, Arden, Alyssa and Ellis Hudson; and a sister, Josephine Hoyle of Lenoir, NC. Dora’s greatest enjoyment was singing with her friends and spending time with her family. Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the family.
