Doretha Scott

Doretha Terry Scott, 73 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at home. She was born May 4, 1940 in Charlotte to Julius Hyatt and the late Irene Walker. She was also preceded in death by husband, Willis "Bill" Paul McKinney. She was employed at the Apollo Restaurant in Harrisburg, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 7:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Survivors include 3 sons, Jeff Dwane McKinney of Kannapolis, NC, Donald Kiser of Waxhaw, NC, Randy Kiser of Monroe, NC; 2 daughters - Sandy Smith of New Castle, VA, Lynn McKinney of VA; sister, Marlene Foster of Sanford, NC; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Scott family.
