Doris Brooks

Doris Ruth Brooks, 94, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Mrs. Brooks was born March 24, 1926 to the late John Henry and Ada Leona Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Brady Brooks; son, James Brady Brooks, Jr.; daughters, Betty Jean Preslar, Diana Lynn Brooks, Janet Lorraine Brooks; brother, Ford Brooks; sisters, Blanche Clark, Gladys Smith; great-granddaughter, Katlyn McCann.

A graveside service will be on held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11:00 am, at Red Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, 112 West Red Cross Rd., Oakboro.

Survivors include: son, Daryl Scott (Lisa) Brooks of SC; daughter-in-law, Darlene Brooks of Midland, NC; grandchildren, Angela McCann, Brady Brooks, Timothy James Brian, Rachel Byers, Joshua Brooks, Alisa Walters, Tricia Brooks; 12 great-grandchildren.
