Doris Connell

Doris Ann Connell, 79, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Maple Leaf Health Care, in Statesville, NC.

Mrs. Connell was born March 23, 1940 in Anson County to the late Fredrick Lee Lambert and Corrie Helen Lambert.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Larry Wilson Connell; four brothers; Fredrick Lambert, Tommy Lambert, Paul Lambert and Charles Lambert.

She loved her family immensely and spending time with them was very important to her.  She worked in Textiles for many years. In her free time she loved working on crossword puzzles and playing Bingo with family and friends. Doris also loved taking trips to the beach and she loved her Mt. Dew!

Survivors include daughter, Paula Ann (Jody) Godfrey of Hamptonville, NC, son, Timothy Allen Connell;  Seven grandchildren; Sonni Jo Hartley, Joey Godfrey, Jamie Linger, Joseph Godfrey, Sarah Godfrey, Terry Connell and John Jockhar; 4 great grandchildren, Kailyn Hartley, Alyssa Hartley, Blakely Godfrey and Kylee Settle; Two Siblings, Linda Blue (Eddie) and Vernon Lambert ( MaryAnn); Special Niece; Joy Sutton.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by . Burial will follow at the Cabarrus Memorial Gardens  at 3892 Hwy 73 , Concord.
