Doris Davis

Doris Carol Dennis Davis, 56 years of age, of Durant, OK, formerly of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in New London. Doris was born June 29, 1957 in Stanly County to the late James "Hoss" Julius Dennis and the late Helen Marie Burris Dennis. She was also preceded in death by husband, Raymond "Carl" Davis; sisters, Brenda Dennis and Martha Barnes. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm, Friday, November 15, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. A graveside service officiated by Rev. David Howard will follow at 2:00 pm at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle. She is survived by her son, Adam Davis of Waukegan, Ill; brother, Jerry Dennis of New London, sisters, Linda Hilton of Rock Hill, SC, Lois Roland and Judy Fraley of New London, Veronica Ingram of Albemarle, and Tammy Dennis of Monroe. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Davis family.
