Doris Kirk

Doris Elizabeth Kirk, 91 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at her granddaughters home in Rockwell.

Doris was born April 24, 1923 in North Carolina to the late James Allen Burris and the late Mabel Betty Burris.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Albert Kirk, son, Billy Allen Kirk, daughter, Betty Louise Kirk.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 11 AM at Carolina Memorial Park In Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Don Burleson.

Survivors include son, Glenn Albert Kirk and wife Nancy of Concord, NC, son, Charlie Alvin Kirk and wife Kay of Concord, daughter, Ann K. Wensil of Concord, grandson, Wayne Kirk, grandson, Eugene Wensil and wife Cindy , grandson, Jeff Wensil and wife Shannon, grandson, Kevin Kirk, grandson, Frankie Kirk, granddaughter, Tami Specht and husband Mike, granddaughter, Kathy Elizabeth Smith and husband Michael, fourteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, brother, Earl Allen Burris of Mt. Pleasant, sister, Margie Bonds of Concord.

Doris was a great amazing lady and enjoyed being a caregiver for children from infants in the nursery to providing child day care for many years. She loved to crochet and make crafts and loved to walk everyday. Doris was a member of Pennsylvania Baptist Church.
