Doris "Dot" Little

March 11, 1927 — January 29, 2022

Concord

Doris “Dot” Emily Wyatt Little passed peacefully to her heavenly home on January 29, 2022.  She was blessed with being at home with her daughter Sylvia and good friend Sandra at her side.

Doris was born on March 11, 1927 in Davie County by her late Mother, Valeria G. Wyatt and her Father, Caesar L. Wyatt. She was also preceded in death by  her two sisters Polly and Helen, her brother Gene, her husband L. Worth Little Sr. of Albemarle and her son L. Worth Little, Jr. of China Grove.

Doris was a loving mother and a remarkable woman.  She worked professionally in Stanly County while raising her three beloved children.    She dressed with chic and style, always welcomed her children’s friends into her home as well as others and was a true southern lady.  In retirement she enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, Hallmark movies and sharing her incredible recipes with her children and nieces.

She is survived by her loving daughters Donna B. Little and Sylvia D. Little of Concord, of whom she was very proud!  Her family included seven nieces and nephews, a daughter in law, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Many who came to her home were also ‘adopted’ family, caregivers from Home Instead and friends from the Church of the Ascension in Advance.  She will be missed by us all.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the family by calling Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, NC @ 704-983-1188.
