Dorothy Mae Vance Bayne of 15207 Truman Manor Lane, Waldorf, MD; formerly of Clinton, MD, died Saturday, January 16 at 134 Hollywood Circle, Mt. Gilead, NC. The family will be receiving friends at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, Monday, January 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held Thursday, January 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echolds Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, MD. Services will be held Friday, January 22 at 11:30 AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Dorothy was born in Lynette AL., December 28, 1932 to the late Dan Emmett Vance and the late Essie Mae (Weldon) Vance. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship of Twin Harbor, Mt. Gilead. She enjoyed playing cards, crosswords, crocheting and was a big Elvis fan. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Fletcher. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ernest Eugene Bayne of the home; two sons, Dan Bayne of Silver Springs, MD and Steve Bayne of Cherry Valley, CA; three daughters, Terri Richardson of Waldorf, MD, Tracy Bayne of Lothian, MD and Linda Gale of Waldorf, MD; and one sister, Shirley Pyles of Prince Fredrick, MD., eight grandchildren and eight great granchildren.
