Dorothy Burleyson

Dorothy Marie Burleyson, age 85, of Concord, NC, passed away on August 11, 2011, at Universal Healthcare, Concord, NC. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Saturday, August 13, 2011, from 12pm until 2pm. At other times the family will be at the home of a nephew, Bobby Broadway, 4574 Iris Potato Road, Kannapolis, NC. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Sexton. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Ms. Burleyson was born in Cabarrus County on May 12, 1926, to the late Charlie Robinson Sides and the late Janie Elizabeth Smith Sides. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harm Webster “Dub” Burleyson; brothers and sisters, Marvin Edward Sides, Charlie Sides, Andrew Sides, Bertha Sides, Raymond Sides, Harvey Sides, Geneva Sides McManus, and Fannie Elizabeth Sides Whitaker. She is survived by brother, Robert Junior Sides of Concord and multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Ms. Burleyson was a member of New Hope Worship Center and was employed with Cannon Mills in the packaging department.
