Dorothy Evelyn Jones Burnett age 90 of 36131 Finger Rd, Albemarle, Mt. Pleasant, NC passed away Friday, Oct 1, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. She was born April 19, 1920 in Alamance County. She was the daughter of the late Albert Onnie Jones and Sara Jane Jeanette Ross Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband Marvin Sanford Burnette in 1993. She is survived by daughters, Joan Kimrey and husband Bobby of Mt. Pleasant, NC; Jean Shue and husband Boyd “Blondy” of Mt. Pleasant, NC; sisters, Mary Lee Pettigrew of Gibsonville,NC and Betty Overman of Whittsett, NC; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 2- 4 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel.
