Dorothy Butler

Dorothy Lucille Barnett Butler, 85, of Midland, passed away Tuesday morning at her home. Mrs. Butler was born July 19, 1924, in Pelzer, SC. Her husband, Ernest Robert Butler, Jr., father - Oliver Thurston Barnett and mother - Ethel Langley Barnett all preceded her in death. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. At other times the family will meet at the home of daughter, Deborah, at 13805 Broadway Avenue, Midland. Funeral service will be Friday, November 20, at 2:00, in the chapel at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, with Rev. Leslie Wray officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Presbyterian Cemetery, Huntersville, NC. Survivors include sons, Ernest Butler, III, and wife, Brenda, and Boyce Butler and wife Pattie all of Charlotte; daughters, Peggy Rice of Florida, Susan Butler Phillips and husband Gray of Mt. Arey, and Deborah Butler and John Tucker of Midland; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
