Dorothy Caldwell, 86 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Albemarle .
Ms. Caldwell was born May 6, 1929 in Mecklenburg County to the late Frank Falls DeVenny and Dorothy Elizabeth DeVenny. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Caldwell.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Ave in Charlotte officiated by Pastor Gales.
Survivors include a brother, Robert DeVenny of Delaware, niece, Dorothy W. Marks of Oakboro, great nieces and nephews, Wayne Marks (Kristie), Kathy Whitley (Brad), Fred Marks (Tammy), Lynda Schumacher (Jason), and Angela Dennis. and great great nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Anna, and John Marks, Dalton and Graham Whitley, Chloe, Nathan, Amelia, and Adam Marks, Katie Marks, Chris Schumacher, and Erika Clinton, and Samarra Creese.
