Dorothy Freeman

Dorothy "Dot" Lee Crosby Freeman, 77 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Carolina Specialty Hospital in Charlotte.

Dot was born September 10, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late Robert Lee "Bing" Crosby and the late Nellie Crosby. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Crosby and one sister, Ruth Knight.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, The funeral service officiated by Rev. Joe Smith will follow at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel.

She is survived by husband, Clyde Hamilton Freeman of Albemarle; daughters, Angela Crisco and husband, Eric and Crystal Lee Stinson both of Albemarle, Shelia Black of Huntersville, and Sherrie Lynn Freeman of Charleston, SC; two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Kayce Stinson; brother, Robert Crosby; and three sisters, Mary Frances, Lucille Scarboro and Diane Jones.
