Dorothy Harris

Dorothy King Harris, age 81 of Harrisburg, NC passed away on January 12, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – North East. Mrs. Harris was born July, 23 1930, to the late William Daniel Sloop and the late Hattie Mac Hagler Sloop. She is also preceded in death by her husband Paul Quinton Harris Sr. in 1998; siblings, Laura Marie Sloop, Sudie Mac Chaney, Lynn Mitchell Sloop, Mary Narcissus Linker, William Lewis Sloop. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.; followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Rev. Charles Efird, and Dr. James Sample presiding. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg. At other times family will be meeting at the home. She is survived by her sons, Quinton Harris Jr. and wife Patricia of Harrisburg; Rodney Dale Harris Sr. and wife Beth of Harrisburg; brother, Daniel Sloop of Albemarle; sisters, Ellen Thomas of Harrisburg; Elizabeth Towell of Harrisburg; Iris Detter of Matthews; 3 grandchildren Darren Harris of Harrisburg; Bethany Harris of Charlotte; Dale Harris of Raleigh.
