Dorothy Haynes

Dorothy Elizabeth Harrison Haynes, 92 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Dorothy was born November 19, 1922 in Cabarrus County to the late George Houston Harrison and the late Bessie Elizabeth Sherwood Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Haynes; sons, Tommy and Earl Franklin Haynes; three brothers, Billy King Harrison, Woodrow Harrison, Junior Harrison; and three sisters, Jean Wilson, Pat Byrd, and Helen Long.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2015 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Roger Barker. The burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.
She is survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her very much.
Dorothy worked as a nurse at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. She was also a caregiver to those in her family that needed to be nursed back to health.
