Dorothy Mullis

Dorothy Mae Mullis, 90, of Indian Trail, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Union Pointe in Monroe.

Mrs.Mullis was born September 14, 1927 to the late George and Nancy Brooks Newsome. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Kirby Mullis; grandson, Galen Price; two sisters and three brothers. Dorothy was known for her crafts, making everyone that she knew beaded jewelry or crocheted items, as she was able.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 3:45 pm, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 420 Hopewell Church Rd., Monroe. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm officiated by Rev. Danny Myers and Rev. Sammy Thomas. Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.

Survivors include:daugthers, Louise Price, Sylvia Barrier, Carolyn Helms and husband Steve, Lela Crump, Teresa Manus and husband David, Kim Gordan and husband Donald; son, Stacy Mullis and wife Tammy; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Pruitt Health Union Pointe for their care and love, especially the ladies in the kitchen.
