Dorothy Roberts

Dorothy Marietta “Dot” Long Roberts, 89 of Rockwell, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011at The Brian Center of Salisbury. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, December 26th from 6 until 8 pm. At other times the family will be at the home of her son, Thomas Roberts at 5351 Hwy 601 South Concord. A graveside service will be held at Boger United Church of Christ Cemetery 7313 Gold Hill Road Concord on Tuesday, December 27th at 2 pm, with Rev. Don McManus officiating. Dot was born on September 6, 1922 in Mecklenburg County to the late Arnold Columbus “AC” Long and Ruth Litaker Overcash Long. Dot was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gordon Roberts, Sr. She is survived by her son, Thomas Gordon Roberts, Jr. and wife Nancy of Concord; daughter, Dixie Roberts Davis of Landis; grandchildren, Frank D. Price III, Rhonda Honeycutt, Allen Troutman; great-grandchildren, Gaston Price, Brayden Price, Jonathan Honeycutt, Jennifer Honeycutt; great-great-grandchild, Jace Price.
