Dorothy Goode Starnes, 87 years of age, of Winter Springs, FL and Mt. Gilead, NC passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Common Lutheran Towers in Orlando, FL.
Dorothy was born July 11, 1929 in Forest City, NC to the late Willie Goode and the late Arie Crawley Goode. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Margaret Ratchford, Stanley Goode, and JC Goode.
The funeral service will be at 1 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, officiated by Rev. Steven Cline.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Douglas Enloe Starnes; daughter, Lisa Schuepp and husband Ralph of Clermont, FL; and grandchildren, Adrienne and Carli Mayfield.
Dorothy was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Sears Roebuck and retired after 40 years of dedicated service.
