Douglas Brown

Douglas Mark Brown, 67, of  Harrisburg, NC passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2023 at his home.

Doug was born on September 4, 1955 to Joan and Richard Brown in Sterling, IL.

After graduating from Pekin Community High School in 1973, he worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company until 1984 when he moved to Madison, Alabama where Doug started to make his career change into multi-family construction working up the ranks from Superintendent to Senior Project Manager with Middleburg Construction were he was employed at the time of his passing.

Doug moved to North Carolina in 1995 were he met and fell in love with Deborah Parke and they wed on August 15, 1996.

When not working, Doug enjoyed spending his time working in the yard, watching  Nascar, and playing with his dogs.  He was quite the carpenter, and took pride in every home project. He was a caring and loving spouse.

Doug was predeceased by an infant granddaughter Aubrey Brianna Kate Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Parke Brown; children, Douglas Sale, Jessica Brown and Cory Brown; granddaughter, Mylah Sparks and grandson Ryker Bass; his parents, Joan and Richard Brown; a brother, Kevin Brown; sisters Debra (John) Glunz, Lori Brown and Jennifer (Dennis) Dipple.

Celebration of  Life Services will be held at Crossroads Church,  Thursday,  February  23rd  @  2pm where Deborah and Doug attended Church.
