Douglas Campbell

Douglas Ray Campbell, 61, of Indian Trail, passed away on November 15, 2021, in Charlotte, NC.

He was born on June 24, 1960, to Bobby and Peggy (Fox) Campbell in Winston Salem, NC. Doug worked in transportation for many years in which he thoroughly enjoyed. Doug never looked for praises; was never one to boast and just went quietly working for the ones he loved the most. He was always there, a firm foundation through all storms of life, and steady hand to hold. Doug’s greatest joy was his wife, Wendy, and their four amazing grandchildren!

Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Wendy; son, Verne Campbell (Courtney Campbell); daughter, Whitney Campbell (Andy Graham); two grandsons, Brooks Graham and Ezekiel Campbell; two granddaughters, Isla Campbell and Parker Graham.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Peggy Campbell.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 7608 Concord Highway, Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, with Pastor John Herrin officiating.
