Douglas Wayne Emerson, age 47, of 35419 Dry Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on August 16, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. There are no services scheduled. Mr. Emerson was born in Montpelier, VT on June 11, 1964, to the late Wayne Winfield Emerson and the late Agnes May Lombard Emerson. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Elizabeth Emerson, of the home; son, Carl Del Santo of Albemarle; brothers, Jim Travis of Lake Wales, FL and Sam Higgins of Montpelier, VT; sister, Mary Larson of Barre, VT.
