Douglas Farrell

Douglas Joseph Farrell, 67, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in Carolinas Medical Center of Charlotte. Mr. Farrell was born July 3, 1944 in Huntington, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Farrell and his mother, Agnes Snyder Farrell. He worked on maintenance with FedEx and was of the Catholic faith. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cindy Schaeffer Farrell; sons, John Robinson of Charlotte, Kevin Robinson of Denver, NC, and Sean Farrell of Charlotte; grandchildren, Allison Robinson of New Jersey, Lauren Robinson of Denver, NC, and Michael Farrell of Charlotte; a brother, Edward Farrell of New Jersey; and a sister, Beverly Rich of Virginia. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Farrell family.
