Douglas Kitchen

Douglas Lee Kitchen, 62 of Concord passed away in his sleep Thursday, August 26, 2021. Douglas was born June 16th, 1959, in Wheeling, WV, to John Henry Kitchen and Shirley Ann Teresa (Mottle) Kitchen.

Douglas was a fun loving man, who  loved animals.. An outspoken man who inevitably stated how he felt. Never sugarcoated anything. He always knew how to turn a disagreement into a joke. He loved making people laugh, he was consistently the life of the party. Doug was a huge Miami Dolphin fan and loved anything Minions.

Doug is preceded in death by both his parents John and Shirley Kitchen, His older brother Johnny Kitchen and his baby brother Keith Kitchen.

Those left to cherish his memory, his fiancée Donna Shannon of Concord, His brother Bruce (Shirley) Kitchen of Kannapolis, brother Gerald (Sherry) Kitchen of Wheeling, WV, and sister Tammy (William) McWhorther of Kannapolis. Six nieces, Shirley Kitchen, Cindy Kitchen Pamela Hester of Kannapolis, Tina McNeil of Lenoir, Peggy Kitchen of Wheeling, WV, and Michelle Kitchen of Morgantown, WV. Two nephews Kenny Bright of Kannapolis and Gerald Kitchen, Jr. of Wheeling, Wv. He leaves behind several great nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.  One great-great niece and one great-great nephew. Tons of delightful  friends... And two loving dogs Carolina and Sophie who will miss Doug like crazy.

Doug is loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measures by all who him and cherished him.
