Dr. Joseph Frick

Dr. Joseph Keith Frick, 74 years of age, of Richfield, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Frick was born December 22, 1940 in Stanly County to the late Otis Raymond Frick and the late Gladys Bogle Frick.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church at 46963 Wesley Chapel Road in Misenheimer, officiated by Rev. Kathy Bryant. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Sylvia Frick of the home; sons, Joseph Keith Frick, Jr. and wife Amy, Timothy Frick and wife Lisa, Troy Sides and wife Cathy, and Barry Sides and wife, Heather; daughters, Donna Stallings and husband Timmie, Holly Horton and husband Jeff, Kimberly Alvarnas and husband John, and Shelly Sides; brother, Brady Frick; sister, Inez VanArsdale; 21 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Dr. Frick earned his teaching certificate from Pfeiffer College, a masters from Appalachian University and a doctorate from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Frick was retired from Stanly County Schools, having served as principal of Millingport Elementary School and New London School for over 30 years.
