Dr. Philip Thibault

Dr. Philip S. Thibault, 74, of Charlotte, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Philip was born July 5, 1944 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, to Albert and Muriel Thibault.  In addition to his father, Philip was also preceded in death by grandsons, Philip Thomas Kokubun and Norman Daniel Kokubun.

Philip gave his life to the Lord to serve his wife, his family, and Christian Education.  He served faithfully as a principal in five schools, impacting thousands of lives.  He was a man of integrity, who lived by this quote, "Your character is who you are when no one is around."  Philip will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, but we rejoice for the hope that is in Christ.

Those left to treasure Philip's life include beloved wife of 51 years, Cynthia Carrington Thibault of Charlotte, NC; mother, Muriel Thibault of Reston, VA; daughter, Deanna (Norman) Kokubun of Durham, NC; daughter, Laura (Rick) Clark of Charlotte, NC; son, Steve (Jeanette) Thibault of Marietta, OH;  daughter, Catherine (Gary) Blair, Paducah, KY; sister, Ruth (Bill) Hoppe; brother, Albert Thibault; sister, Doreen (Carl) Langton; brother, David (Amy) Thibault; sister, Ann McNeil; grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Hedderman, Joy Kokubun, Nathan (Kourtney) Kokubun, Peyton Thibault, CJ Blair, Ethan Thibault, Hadden Thibault, Eric Clark, Gary Blair, Hudson Clark, Jeremy Clark, Sophie Thibault, and Jewell Blair; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:45 am, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Steve Thibault.  Burial will follow at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd, Charlotte.
