Duane Oliver

Duane Paul Oliver, 47 years of age, of Locust, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Duane was born January 10, 1968 in Okinawa, Japan to the late William Eugene Oliver and Rozana Hartsell Oliver Morton of Albemarle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William "Joe" Oliver and Jake Oliver; and stepfather, Horace Morton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, May 15, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Don Phillips. The burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sara Anna Lane Oliver; stepson, Jason Huneycutt; stepdaughters, Jennifer Huneycutt and Jessica Grismer; grandchildren, Cassidy Huneycutt, Cera Huneycutt, Jarren Moore, Zaynah Moore, Shayla Grismer and Lane Grismer; brothers, Randy Oliver and Chester Oliver; and sisters, Vickie Morton and Lynn Jefferson.
