Dutchess “Unique Quietstorm” Wrice-Bentley
Dutchess Wrice-Bentley, 75, of Concord NC, entered her Eternal rest, on October 6, 2021.
Born May 25,1946 in New Britain, CT, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Rev. Harold and Peggy Wrice. Dutchess loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved the Lord. Reverend Wrice-Bentley was taught that she was the daughter of the Most High God and she knew it. Dutchess was a graduate of New Britain High School, she also earned a certificate in cosmetology. She was also employed by the Department of Transportation for the State of North Carolina.
Dutchess was baptized and raised under the AME Zion church in CT, later she and her husband left the AME Zion church, and became Independent. Under that leadership, they established "The Holy Tabernacle of Faith Ministries” and in 1988 she entered the ministry and was ordained in the Holy Tabernacle of Faith Ministries. Dutchess loved with all her heart, her infectious smile and laugh that could light up a room with a twinkle in her eye that said “I love you.” Rev. Dutchess Wrice-Bentley had many people that loved her dearly and she will be missed dearly. Dutchess also had a voice yes, she could sing and was a backup singer for Dionne Warwick, and James Brown in her younger year.
Dutchess is survived by her Children Seth, Jeremiah, Faith, Raymond, Terry and Lisa Bentley, and Shawn Phillips. Grandchildren; Damian, Jada, Khalia, Elijah, Seth Jr, Jashawn, Jacquie, Dutchess, D’Miyah, Jeremiah Jr, Amoa, Israel, and Naomi Bentley and Khalil Scott. Her Sisters, Mozelle Walker, Bettylou Roderick (Mark), Marcella Wrice
Kristina Wrice, Joyce Wrice, Rena Boston, Joanne Stenson, Pernetha Sherman. Her Brothers; Gilbert (Sharon) Wrice, Gregory Wrice, Robert Wrice, and a host of Nieces, Nephews Aunts, Uncles, Godchildren, Cousins & Friends.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her maternal and paternal Grandparents; Bernice and Harold Brown, and Arthur and Verdell Wrice. Brothers Harold Wrice Jr & Penny Walker, sister Gladys Robertson, her Godmother Helen Mitchell, Nieces Shenia, Shajuana, & Peggy. Nephews Troy, Dean, Kyle, Thaddeus III, & Mark Jr.
