Dwight Lee Wagoner, age 68 of 28254 Goodman Road, Gold Hill, passed away on January 24, 2010 at his home. Born in Stanly County on September 07, 1941, he was the son of the late Hermon Dwight Wagoner and the late Clara Elizabeth Drew Wagoner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Wagoner in 1989. He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Watson Wagoner of the home; daughters Beth Wagoner Addis and husband Rick of Marvin, NC and Ellen Wagoner of Charlotte, NC; and granddaughters, Virginia, Elizabeth and Macy Addis. Dwight was a mason employed by Alcoa for 32 years. A member of Richfield Baptist Church, he served as a deacon. He was a devoted husband and father. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, from 6 to 8 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. At other times they will meet at his home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 27 at 2 pm at Richfield Baptist Church with a 30 minute state. Rev. Dale Collingwood and Rev.Tony Biles will officiate. Burial will be in Richfield Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Richfield DAV. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC or Richfield Baptist Church, PO Box 96, Richfield, NC 28137. The family sincerely appreciates all the loving cards and visits from friends during his year long illness.
