Earl Dry

Earl Lindburgh Dry, 88 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Earl was born July 15, 1927 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Baxter Franklin Dry and Mary Smith Dry. He was also preceded in death by his one brother and three sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 2 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 4877 Highway 200, Concord, officiated by Rev. Alan Thompson and Rev. Bob Young. Burial with military honors will follow in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sara Foutz Dry; his daughter, Kay Layton & husband, Darrell of Mt. Pleasant; his son, Jerry Dry & wife Susan of Rockwell; his six grandchildren Sarina, Sadie & Syrus Dellinger, Tyler Layton, Carolyn and David Dry; his sister, Laura Mae Leigh of Concord.

Earl was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
