Ed Barbee

Ed C. Barbee, 81, of 221 Union Cemetery Road Concord passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Universal HealthCare in Concord. He was born on February 2, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Vaughn Ciscero and Margaret Magalina Harvell Barbee. He was also preceded in death by sons Danny Ed Barbee and Richard G. Barbee, sisters Odessa B. Hartsell, Eunice B. McBride, Autie B. Sheffield, Dena B. Hartsell, Sadie Barbee and brothers William Barbee, Ira Barbee, Grady Barbee, Barry Barbee. Ed was a member of The Shriners, Masons and Lions Club. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, September 8th from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 9th at 2 PM, with Rev. Donald Lisk officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. He is survived by: wife, Margaret Geneva Eudy Kiser Barbee of Concord; step-sons, Jerry A. Kiser and wife Teresa of Concord and Ronald D.
