Ed Talbert

Ed Junior Talbert, 77, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.

Ed was born January 20, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Hurle Talbert and the late Mary Ethel Talbert.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, George Talbert and Bobby Talbert; sister Virginia Medlin; grandson Zachary Almond; and his faithful friend Boo Talbert.

Ed was a welder his whole life.  He loved to hunt and fish. Since he retired, Ed loved hanging out in the backyard with his friends and Boo.

The family has always celebrated Ed's life while he was living.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 59 years, Joyce Talbert of Albemarle; daughter, Debbie (Anthony) Hildreth; son, Edward Talbert; daughters, Lisa Talbert, Ethel (Brian) Almond and Angela Talbert; grandchildren, Kristen (Ryan) Banks and Preston Talbert; sisters, Betty Hopkins, Alice Pickler, Thelma Lucas, and Connie Ridenhour; and brother, Bill Talbert.
