Eddie Goodman
April 10, 1946 — June 23, 2015
Eddie Lee Goodman, 69 years of age, of New London, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Mr. Goodman was born April 10, 1946 in North Carolina to the late Ed "June" Goodman and the late Ruby King Blackwelder.
Mr. Goodman served as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver for Conway Freight, Inc. Eddie enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing and all water sports with his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Friday, June 26, 2015 at Badin Shores Chapel 111 Dove Lane, New London. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel, officiated by Dr. Bradford Garrigues, Sr.
Survivors include wife, Dianne Shoe Goodman of New London, daughters Ginger G. Lotter and husband Steve of Cedar Springs, MI, Crystal G. Long and husband Robert of Concord, brother Wayne Goodman and wife Debbie of Harrisburg, grandchildren Hayley Lotter of Detroit, MI, Cameron Lotter of Cedar Springs, MI, SPC Nelson Barbee of Fort Lewis, WA, and Liam Long of Concord, and faithful canine companion Harley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brittany McGuire for her special care given during Eddie's sickness.
