Edith Daniels

Edith Sherman Daniels, 91 years of age, of Albemarle, NC passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Trinity Place in Albemarle. Edith was born March 7, 1923 in Shelter Island, New York to the late Milton Chichester Sherman and to the late Daisy Cook Sherman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Daniels; and son, James Michael Daniels. There will be a memorial service held at Shelter Island Presbyterian Church in New York at a later date. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Daniels Eudy and husband Roger of Albemarle, NC; brother, Roger Sherman of Long Island, NY; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graduate of Southhampton School of Nursing, Edith earned a B.S. in nursing from Aldephia University, Long Island, NY. She served in World War II, as an Army nurse and served one year in France and one year in Germany. Memorials may be made to the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church, 32 N.
