Edith Green

Mrs. Edith Furr Green 93 a former resident of Hwy 200 in Georgeville, NC passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Carebridge Assisted Living Center in Mount Pleasant. Born on November 11, 1916 in Cabarrus County to the late Frank and Della Faggart Furr. She was married to the late Dewitt Green. Also preceded in death by her brother Howard Furr and two sisters Idell Barbee and Annie Mae Furr. Mrs. Green was a homemaker and a life long member of Center Grove United Methodist Church. The family will meet at the home of daughter Nancy Widenhouse at 7420 Barrier Georgeville Road Concord. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Center Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2 PM, with the Rev. Alan Thompson and the Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survived by: daughter, Nancy Green Widenhouse of Georgeville; grandchildren, Alan Widenhouse and wife Marcella, Eric Widenhouse and wife Cheryl, and Amy Spaulding and husband Skip; great-grandchildren, Mason Widenhouse, Stephanie and Luke Widenhouse and Jeremy and Chance Spaulding; Her family also includes Darrell Cranford, Bobby and Gail Widenhouse and also her family at Carebridge.
