Edith Smith

Edith Lambert Smith, 92, of Concord, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020.

In addition to her parents, William C. Hill Sr. and Annie Mae Canupp Hill,  she was also preceded in death by husband of 41 years,Carl H. Lambert, Sr and husband of 17 years, Harold Odell Smith ;sisters, Ginny Mae Hill, Lola Jane Edwards, and Polly Carpenter Ferguson;brother, Avery Hill; grandson, Chad Coley and great-grandson, Jessie Funderburke.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, February 17, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Roberta Baptist Church, 3301 Roberta Road,Concord, NC 28027,  officiated by Pastor Steve Pennington . Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Survivors include Son, Carl Lambert Jr. (Charlotte), daughters, Connie Bollinger (Ken), Brenda Joyner (Darrell) Judy White (Ray), and Vickie Bollinger (Gary); brothers, W.C. Hill Jr. (Lora), Alvin Hill, George Hill (Ann), Roy Hill (Sue); sisters, Janice Macleod (Robert), and Patsy Sellars (Gary).  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great- grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to The Building Fund at Roberta Baptist Church.
