Edith Lorene Owens, 72 years of age, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at home.
Edith was born February 28, 1944 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Henry Motley and the late Edith Rebecca Rary.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Rebecca Martin.
Edith worked at Cannon Mills for many years as a winder.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Chapel officiated by Rev. Ro ger Bostic. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
Survivors include husband, Larry Eugene Owens of Salisbury; sons, Mark Smith of Salisbury, David Smith of Concord, and Gary Owens of Concord; daughters, Dawanna Watson of Salisbury, Sandy Curlee of Concord, Kim French of Concord and Wanda Eudy of Albemarle and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
