Edith Smith

Mrs. Smith departed this earth on December 28, 2009, to be with her Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 11 AM until 12 PM. A graveside service will follow at West Concord Cemetery at 12:30 PM, with the Rev. Steve Pennington officiating. Mrs. Smith was born December 15, 1926 in Cabarrus County to the late Clarence H. Cook, Sr. and the late Dora S. Eudy Cook. In addition to her parents Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence H. Cook, Jr., and sisters, Martha C. Huss, Hazel C. Williams and Ruby C. Mooney. Survived by: her husband, John T. Smith; sons, Jerry A. Moose and Don G. Moose; sisters, Betty C. Barnhardt and Daphne C. Sapp; brother, George W. Cook; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Roberta Baptist Church Building Fund 3301 Roberta Road Concord, NC 28027.
